Geology

Reserve and resource determination is the first step in the evaluation of any mining project. WEIR has significant experience in managing and supervising exploration programs, including the development of drilling contractor specifications, bid packages and selection of qualified contractors. In addition, WEIR provides comprehensive services for the review and testing of samples and has developed protocols for sample collection, handling and analysis.

Geologic Modeling

Utilizing the results of an exploration program or client data, WEIR has in-house modeling capabilities to develop detailed geologic models of a reserve or resource. Modeling software regularly utilized includes SurvCADD and Datamine Software. The output from modeling is presented in both tabular format and graphically, either as plans and sections, or as solid 3D renderings of the reserve. Based on the modeling and review of the reserve data WEIR provides reserve and resource reports and certifications.
